If you can cast your mind back to 2002/3, you may remember when American streetwear brand Stussy dropped a collection of clothing sporting monogram prints suspiciously similar to that of Louis Vuitton and Gucci.
The designs were so similar that Stussy received Cease and Desist orders from both European fashion houses, meaning that they had to halt the production and distribution of this collection with immediate effect. The combination of these pieces being so old and very few quantities reaching the masses, means that items are often regarded as archive/‘grails’ and command steep prices on the after-market.
